Biography

Dr. Anurodh Mohan Dayal is Emeritus Scientist and presently working on potential of shale gas in Cambay basin, Gujarat, India. He is working on exploration of Hydrocarbon is Indian sedimentary basins using surface geochemical prospecting technique. During his tenure he worked with various oil companies in India and abroad in their exploration block. He is consultant of shale gas project from Damodar basin, Jammu and Kashmir and hydrocarbon exploration project of Oil Industrial Development Board and Director General of Hydrocarbon, New Delhi. He delivered number of invited talk in India and abroad. He presented his work in various international conference and delivered talk at Melbourne, Australia, Davos, Switzerland, Vancouver, Canada, Tennessee, USA, Köln, Germany, Vienna Austria, China and Italy. He was awarded DAAD fellowship and bilateral Exchange program fellowship from The Royal Society, London, UK. He also received an invitation from French Embassy to visit Institute Physics de Globe, Paris and BRGM, Orleans, France. He has published more than 100 research papers in reputed research journals and more than 22 technical reports for the various oil companies. His papers were published in five books. Book on shale gas Exploration, exploitation and impacts to economics and environment has been published by Elsevier in February 2017. Received an invitation to write a book on Alternative Energy in next decade and presently working on that book. He superannuated as Principal scientist in January 2012 and CSIR awarded him the position of Emeritus Scientist post for period of five years to continue his work on shale gas in Cambay basin. He is also working on potential of shale gas in Damodar basins as research project on shale gas as consultant with CMPDI and CIMFR supported by Ministry of Coal and preliminary work on potential of shale gas from Spitti, Karewa and Zanskar basin. This work has been published in an international journal.
