Track 1: Advances in petroleum engineering

Track 2: Fuels and refining

Generally, crude petroleum oil is heated and changed into a gas. The hot gases are passed into the bottom of a distillation column and become cooler as they goes up the height of the column. As the gases cool below their boiling point, they compress into a liquid. The liquids are then drawn out from the distilled column at specific heights, ranging from heavy resides at the down, raw fuels in the mid-sections, and raw gasoline at the top. These raw fractions are then processed further to make many different finished products. The use of DCS enables better control and monitoring of operations in end-use industries such as oil & gas, power generation, food & beverage, and so on.

Track 3: Petroleum geology

Petroleum is the study of origin, occurrence, movement, gathered, and exploration of hydrocarbon fuels. It refers to the specific set of geological rules that are applied to the search for hydrocarbons (oil exploration).

A structural trap, where a fault has connect a porous and permeable reservoir against an impermeable seal. Crude oil gathers against the seal, to the bottom of the base of the seal. Any further oil migrating in from the source will escape to the surface and seep .Increasing availability of natural gas owing to the shale gas boom and higher efficiency & lower carbon emission characteristics of fossil fuels -fired power plants are the major factors driving the gas turbines market. Track 4: Renewable energy

Renewable energy is any energy origin that is an alternative to fossil fuels. These alternatives are intended to address concerns about such crude oil. The quality of what constitutes an alternative energy source has changed considerably over time, as have dispute regarding energy use. Today, because of the mixture of energy choices and differing goals of their advocates, characterize some energy types as "alternative" is highly controversial .The increase in the energy demand has resulted in the progress of oil & gas production from the regions such as North America and the Middle East .

Track 5: Exploration and production

The natural gas industry is usually divided into three major sectors: upstream, midstream and downstream. The upstream crude oil is also commonly known as the exploration and production (E&P) sector.

The upstream sector includes the searching for potential underwater crude oil and natural gas fields, drilling of exploratory wells, and subsequently drilling and operating the wells that restore and bring the crude oil or raw natural gas to the surface. There has been a significant shift toward including alternative gas as a part of the upstream sector, and corresponding developments in liquefied natural gas convert and transport. The increase in global oil & gas production from North America and the Middle East has been associate by maturing onshore oilfields, which has shifted the focus of operators towards offshore markets.

Track 6: Reservoir engineering

Reservoir engineering is a branch of natural gas engineering that applies scientific principles to the drainage problems arising during the growth and manufacture of oil and gas reservoirs so as to obtain a high economic recovery. The working tools of the petroleum engineer are subsurface geology, applied mathematics, and the basic laws of physics and chemistry administrative the behavior of liquid and vapour phases of crude oil, natural gas, and water in reservoir rock. The diesel oil motor, a combination of diesel engine with electrical generator, is a reliable power supply device. It is used for producing electricity to provide continuous power supply during power interruptions.

Track 7: Transporting oil and natural gas

Crude oil tankers are used to transport fossil fuels from fields in the Middle East, North Sea, Africa, and Latin America to refinery around the world. Product tankers carry refined products from refineries to terminals. Tankers range in size from the small vessels used to transfer refined products to huge crude carriers. Tanker sizes are expressed in terms of cargo tons. The smallest tankers are General Purpose which range from 10 to 25,000 tons. The market is driven by the development in offshore spending and rising demand of oil & gas, which is met by increasing investments in emerging economies with proven oil & gas reserves.

Track 8: Replacing oil: alternative fuels and technologies

Renewable Energy, known as non-conventional fuels, are any materials or substances that can be used as fuels, other than conventional fuels like; crude oil (petroleum, coal, and natural gas), as well as nuclear materials such as uranium and thorium, as well as manufactured radioisotope fuels that are made in nuclear reactors . Completion, in petroleum oil production, is the process of making a well ready for industrial production (or injection). This principally involves preparing the base of the hole to the required specifications, running in the production tubing and its associated down hole tools as well as rupture and stimulating as required. Sometimes, the process of running in and cementing the casing is also included.
